Meyers believes this acquisition will offer the best possible products for grocery stores and supermarkets.

Meyers has announced the acquisition of the sheet-fed business unit from Insignia Systems, Inc. (ISI). Meyers and ISI have been close partners for over 10 years, working together on a variety of printed products. During that time, Meyers has streamlined its production workflows and developed the in-house expertise needed to consistently deliver premium products for grocery stores and supermarkets. Meyers believes this acquisition will allow further refinements and ultimately offer the best possible products and service to the grocery industry. “We’re very excited to continue manufacturing high-quality sheet-fed labels for ISI’s end customers. And this acquisition allows us to bring a ton of other valuable print services to these clients, including retail signage, displays and more,” says Mike Lane, CEO of Meyers. “Grocery is a hugely important industry segment – it always has been – but that’s especially true with the lifestyles changes so many of us have made during the pandemic. Meyers is going to continue ISI’s legacy as a trusted partner to this critically important industry.” Kevin Mathews, formerly vice president of Custom Print Solutions at ISI, has joined the team at Meyers and is continuing to lead this business unit. Mathews says, “The retail grocery industry has evolved dramatically during the past several years and the changes continue to accelerate due to a variety of new challenges. Our retail partners are constantly evaluating what is working and what requires transformation as shopper’s tendencies and expectations change. Effective suppliers like Meyers understand these unique challenges and work closely with clients to adjust tactics and strategies in order to provide real working solutions. This acquisition provides improved capabilities and increased support to current ISI clients and positions Meyers to continue its expansion into the grocery channel, and I am very excited to be part of that.” Meyers and ISI anticipate the integration of this business unit to be completed before the end of the week. The sheet-fed label team will work out of the Meyers Headquarters in Brooklyn Park, MN, USA.
